I was Mom's Full Legal Guardian for 7 years and so I bring that to the table for this story. It's an inspirational romance now. (A slight change in the ms.)

I won the 2007 Touched By Love Long Contemporary for What She Didn't Know but my mom died during the contest. I didn't finish the book. I set it aside for a time I could go back with less struggle. Now I'm finishing one book this month and I'll start getting back into that book next month. So for me, yes, I want to see schizophrenia dealt with in fiction in a caring, supportive manner.
Please feel welcome to browse the posts I have in my blog on schizophrenia. Thank you so much for this post and for the comments that you all left afterward! You all have lifted me up today so very much!

I would love to be entered in the contest for Walking On Broken Glass.
Angie Breidenbach
http://GodUsesBrokenVessels.blogspot.comAngBreidenbachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17193337694193623903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8931786447770768460.post-13324622947908870012010-02-06T10:36:41.285-08:002010-02-06T10:36:41.285-08:00What a fantastic interview. Now THAT's a crisis!

I don't know that I would have realized that schizophrenia touches the lives of so many families. Martha, Jo and Linda, thanks for sharing this. Eating disorders is an area that I see as an issue, especially because I teach high school and witness body image problems among teen girls.

Casey and Andrea, thanks for your comments and for dropping by.Christa Allanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12620389675433700944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8931786447770768460.post-64065266556940684322010-02-05T08:57:36.969-08:002010-02-05T08:57:36.969-08:00You know, I don't think I have an answer to th...You know, I don't think I have an answer to that question. There is almost no books written about this. Also, books where normal people struggle with eating disorders and they are not considered by everyone as really messed up people......I see from the comment above I am not alone in this. My husband is a PS, and I am really alone and I know I really am not....but people do not understand the disease at all. martha(at)lclink(dot)comMartha A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02426112535240400393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8931786447770768460.post-134493317856015462010-02-04T12:48:44.937-08:002010-02-04T12:48:44.937-08:00A woman dealing with Dissociative Identity Disorde...A woman dealing with Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly Multiple personality disorder). Or for that matter, one who is dealing with schizophrenia. These are difficult things to deal with but I would love to see them written about.
