I would say that foremost I try and be the best person I can be. I think this is as important as going out and doing services. I do volunteer for two groups now NAMI - National Alliance on Mental Illness and DIGS wish is a group of parents who are advocating for their disabled adult children. I was amazed when I read your verse - Habbakuk 2:2 because God gave me that verse 2 weeks ago and in the last 2 days has brought it to my attention in various ways and in various translations 4 times. Great interview. Thanks for sharing.
F...Hi Nancy,

Great interview. Thanks for sharing.

For the last 14 years my husband and I have been involved with our church's youth clubs--Adventurers and then Pathfinders-- which is like Boy/Girl Scouts but co-ed. We started because of our children's interest in joining and then eventually became leaders ourselves. We also assist with a teen mission trip in the summers. Youth ministry can be very challenging at times, but also rewarding. And never boring. :)

Sometimes it's hard to balance my writing with family life and the club/church duties, but we'll continue as long as we feel God wants us there.

Kelly Ann RileyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8931786447770768460.post-40886315884470961102009-09-27T16:22:34.445-07:002009-09-27T16:22:34.445-07:00Edna, I love seeing your heart for God, in that yo...Edna, I love seeing your heart for God, in that you serve him wherever you are. To answer her question as I am disabled and don't get out much, I witness on facebook through all the blogs I read and tell anyone I can how great God is to us. I always read my Bible and am learning everyday more about His great works, I used to pay the organ and sing in church when I was able but now have had to stop that,

May God bless

mamat2730(at)charter(dot)netEdnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04132658803192802735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8931786447770768460.post-62072453549973853892009-09-26T18:43:49.279-07:002009-09-26T18:43:49.279-07:00I enjoyed getting to know Nancy through the interv...I enjoyed getting to know Nancy through the interview and look forward to reading her new book.

I think my main service to God would have to be through my piano playing. I rebelled at having to practice as a teenager, but realized in college that my gift was from God and I needed to develop it. I've been playing almost every Sunday for 46 years, as well as for nursing homes, weddings and funerals, and it has been a wonderful way to minister to people.

cjarvis [at] bellsouth [dot] netCarolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02691366747122379190noreply@blogger.com
